I'm assuming the best one would keep the water scolding hot? I've rented carpet washers and they are nothing compared to the ones the 'pros' use.

Wood floors or tile.

TBH, the only luck I have had were the rentals from the grocery store. The rest have clogged or required a few sessions to get clean. I finally gave up and tore it all out, put in tile and wood - fake shit (pergola or whatever) for kids/craft rooms.

I concur - thick carpet is pretty much impossible to deep clean even with steam cleaners. Tear it out and put in hardwood or tile.

I meant to put wood floors or replace with tile... don't mind me.

Seconded. Use rugs if you need padding.

That's the plan but I can't do that yet because too much furniture has no where to go and no one who can put it there. The carpet is near condemn levels and needs washed regularly.
