Set everything you can to not save metadata in the first place.
There are free apps for pc/Mac/iOS/android that can batch delete metadata from images.
I wonder if there is some way to secretly add metadata that isn't standard.
You can add bogus metadata yes.
Throw those feds off your scent. I like to put phone models that haven’t come out yet and coordinates for mars.
exiftool -all= dangerous.jpg
You can verify removal by executing
exiftool dangerous.jpg
To list metadata.
