With our fourth, we went to the hospital because the midwife canceled lol.

Sure enough, they got tired of waiting (the doc) and said, yeah the baby's kinda turned kinda weird in there so we just decided to go ahead and blah blah, cut her open blah blah.

This was at a teaching hospital so there you go (and even I got to watch, what a bloody mess).

At times they are probably necessary, but way overperformed I'm sure.
