Our history are froth with legends and myths, and sadly we will never know what that time looked like. The time when secret ninja villages, with members who were purported to have mystical abilities were around. Or what it looked like when a true master of the sword, who had been honing his abilities since childhood, took to the battlefield.
Beserk, is a show ive watched, and love. It is an anime, and it is glorious. Have a gander at it motherfucker, and be amazed.
In anycase art immitates life, and in my opinion, qhen dreaming up fantastical stories, some artists dream of times passed, and so, some of the insane stuff we see in mobies or series, however fantastical could have been a relaity, at some point.
No way, anything animated is for kids. Anything live-action is for adults. Any adult can see this obvious, deep difference. /s

Even if it's just nostalgia, being aware as you watch can give insights into yourself and what drew you into it as a child. In general stories can allow realizing something because it's a different context than your own life, where you've had lies pushed so much and have trouble seeing what's there.
