Even though, I'd say they're both very unlikely, a grd down scenario would be cataclysmic. Also, a global grid down scenario would take multiple high altitude nukes to go off fairly close together. That would be some James Bond villain style stuff. The old Bond, not this new jiggaboo Bond bullshit

I'd wager 3 would take out the continental US. Alaska wouldn't be a problem, most of the population is concentrated. One more nuke. Hawaii, one more nuke. The rest of it is just US territories, nothing that's going to save the us after that. 5/6 nukes tops and that's just the USA. Yeah, you're definitely right
