As I understand it, the firmament is a dome which is over the earth. It seaseparates the waters above from those that are below. The earth is distrinct from the waters above and below.
Some say the firmament could be liquid nitrogen. Nitrogen is less dense than oxygen and the other elements which make up the air we breathe. It would therefore rise above and, being water, would effectively seal in the enclosed volume of space. Nitrogen has , which may be why some believe it to be nitrogen.
If you can believe it, the US government and other world powers have attempted to breach the firmament. -- there is more to dig into on the subject if you are truly curious. See: Operation Dominic Dawn, Deepfreeze, Fishbowl, Paperclip
Who knows. All I know is I don't trust what the government says. They're all liars and the rest are too stupid to realize they're dupes.
Only flat earthers call it a dome. That's not scripture based in any way. The bible never says this. It simply says it divides the heaven and the earth. It specifically says it divides the waters above and below. Which is literally what we observe with space - called heaven.
In other words, the bible supports space and a globe. Anyone claiming otherwise is purposely distorting what the bible actually says. Which is in fact the position of many satanic flat earthers and is at least part of their goal. Which in the end primarily serves Jewish interests.
In short, what the bible describes is today what we call space and plasma astronomy.
Member, the kike translators fucked with it a lot. Dome might have been barrier, or something in the original.
And?
Different take.. the Bible describes the firmament as dividing waters above and below, yes… but when the flood came, firmament broke/came down. There is no longer a firmament above because of this.
It had never even rained before that day.
There have (allegedly) been experiments done where both plants and animals were grown in an environment which was setup to mimic the environment before the time that the firmament broke. Both plants and animals were larger and healthier in that environment. I have also heard some theologians speculate that the firmament was a guard against radiation from the sun, as well.
Not here to argue or name call, just putting forth something different.
Ive read this too, that we used to have a thin layer of ice, surrounding the earth, but that it was broken..
