Thankfully I married a gardening woman a decade ago. Flowers in the front and back, and vegetables in the back yard. My job is building raised beds and trellises, and moving dirt. Also, I grow potatoes in old storage bins to celebrate my Irish heritage.
In the last couple of years, she's taken over the landscaping at our church, and its alive with flowers now as well.
Outstanding. My wife and I share the same proclivities and dynamic. She is the green thumbed artist and I'm the laboring field hand. She harvested the 1st 3 potatoes (we use gardening sacks for the taters) of the season this morning. Made me wanna grab a shalalie and kiss the Blarney Stone
Sacks are absolutely the way. No digging, just dump them on a screen made out of wire mesh. Reuse the dirt (after amending) for the next bag.
