Russia seems far more stable than the west these days. Putin's approval ratings are what western politicians dream about. I don't get why these narratives exist but suggest to someone that the USA isn't far from civil war or that the EU will collapse in a few years and they seethe.
They will. Russia is a historically Orthodox Christian country. The soviet jews tried, but could not erase that. The holodormer and WWII took huge chunks oot of the population base, and coldwar communism was not family friendly. The fact that Russia was branded an enemy following hard on the German surrender, is a narrative that can't be backed down from. (Since 1945!) The US should be aligned with Russia. China is the enemy of the West, and the creator of most of the strife, globally.
