Agreed, I consume lots of protein but tore my rotator cuff and it is just not healing and I am in pain. More than my normal every day pain. I need to fix it. Preferably without surgery.
You should try massage therapy. Get those muscle fibers relaxed so they can heal properly. My massage therapist is worth her weight in gold to me. I was looking at surgery, but decided to take the natural path to recovery. Was a good choice.
I don't think you can massage a torn rotator cuff back into health!
That might require some type of surgery depending on how torn that is. I believe the KneesOverToesGuy has some exercises that focus on healing that area as well
I was told it depends on the severity of the injury.
