My daily driver is a Apple M0115 Apple Extended Keyboard (1987 ish, came with the Mac SE), happened upon it during an auction. But I have tried several keyboards but none are the "perfect" keyboard. I doubt such a thing exists. I have fond memories of the Wyse 60 terminal keyboard as well as the IBM Model F (first keyboard I ever used). I've had a Model M a few times, always at a job and never owned it.
What say the unwashed keyboard plebs?

Thrift store keyboard, when was it last cleaned? Who cares?
how prone are you to spilling drinks or other crap into the KB?
I love my mechanicals. Ive been using the Corsair K70 line for a while. But you know it if you spill a beer into one.
If afraid your going to spill into it, the tactile feel really doesnt matter, kids are around it... I'd get whatever the cheapest keyboard is and live for a bit.
