Does anyone know how twitter encodes it's video urls? I can't find them even with inspector and the right click "copy video url" does not work. I know there are websites that will convert them to downloadable files but I'd prefer not to use them. Any help would be great.

I just right click copy vid address. and then dump it into the vid downloader at the command line.

Looks similar to yt-dl, thanks I'll give this a shot.

Most of the time it works. i have found the occasional vid marked private or something that i end up just using a web service for if i want to grab... for those few times when you-get or yt-dl do not work for something. I go here. https://twittervideodownloader.com
