That is good advice. Haha yeah, I am female, I've always gravitated twords places that had high testosterone and few woman. I've been online for a long time, and I'm not surprised when people don't believe I'm female. I am social and chatty so I may try for a second to convince them but their judgment of me is based on their personal experience so I don't get offended. I laugh when some men say I sound like a man because yeah, 95% of my life has been spent trying to get away from woman while talking, working and getting my education from manly men.
I've had to revaluate who I am so I can be myself in good taste. But I think I'm going to go for "gentle soul, soft spoken, modest dialect" which I wasn't doing originally. although dressing modestly and not touching people has always been part of my personality.
Part of the appeal of working in the trade meant I could dress professionally with the same style outfit everyday, not competing with other woman on dressing pretty or wearing makeup. I hate putting on makeup and smiling for clients.
I love smiling and bringing in home made snacks for my team though.
