So you've posted that stupid green text here 20 times and now you're an expert on iodine deficiency. You know which supplemental iodine sources cut it and which don't. You know fluoride and boron compete for uptake. You know all the ways not getting enough iodine is fucking us up.

Ok.

How do you know if your iodine supplementation has actually succeeded in raising your levels to the ideal range? Does it go beyond just "I feel better"? Is anyone actually getting lab work done? And, if so, what labs?

I just have to know if I'm getting enough iodine.

Get a gallon of water. Ten drops of Lugol 5. Drink a cup (200ml) a day. Two if you havent taken any iodine supplement in a week or more.

While I do appreciate the dosing recommendations, how do you actually evaluate whether the regimen you're taking is working?

You will be taking roughly 5 times more iodine than stipulated as the normal maximum. High enough to matter, low enough to not overdose your thyroid and give you hyperthyroidism long-term.
