People don't care about you, they care about the topic you will be speaking on.
Most people are idiots who got vaxxed and masked. Why worry yourself over what they might think about you so much that you must medicate yourself?

Practice, practice, practice.
Then practice some more.
There is no substitute for preparation.
Good name bro. I like it.
Man you don't fear public speaking, you fear embarrassing yourself in front of a group of people.
Either come to terms that the group of people doesn't matter (you don't live in a small village of 50 people who know you by name and will ruin your livelihood), or divest yourself from the ideas that you will be presenting.
You are not a sum of the ideas, and they do not reflect on you. They are the subject matter and you are just presenting the facts for the group of people that will be only partially listening in the first place.
You don't want to be there, and they don't want to be there, so just get the facts out in a concise and understandable manner and move on with life.
This right here. If you know your subject matter and you have an outline you should be golden. If you stumble with your words, just go "bleah bluh, excuse me" then correct yourself as you smile and chuckle and move on. Nobody cares.
Walk in like you are the worlds expert on what you are talking about. Pre-prep as much as possible. Don't memorize cards, know your talking points to the level that you can talk "to" someone not "at" them. You can still have que cards if you want but make them extremely simple like "Subject 1, Subject 2." Etc. Not a drawn out speech. If you read from cards/notes word for word it makes you sound robotic and disengaged.
If you mess up somewhere just pause for a moment to re-orient or remember the subject your are on or moving to and continue as if nothing happened.
No one wants to see you bomb. A lot of people feel like the audience is against them but there really is not much worse than the pain of watching someone crash when speaking.
If you have extreme anxiety you can consider taking a very low dose of valerian root 30-40 minutes before you have to speak. It can make you a bit tired though but it can help you keep from over stressing, and by very low I mean like 1/4 of what a proper dose would be (or less).
Good Luck!
If you lose your place in your outline, just take a pause. Time is moving much more quickly for you than for the audience. They probably won't even notice. OR, just make a joke out of it. Everyone has been there.
Just be yourself. Remember, you probably have a friendly audience who wants to hear what you have to say. Just talk to them like it's one on one.
level_101 and Jeffersonhairpie also have good advice:
The people you'll be speaking to are just people and you're simply talking to them. No different than sitting on a couch in someone's lounge telling a story to a crowd of people
Best advice.
(Read other comments, good advice.) Left, right, straight ahead. Middle crowd, one person at a time. You're only talking to one person of the group at a time. Look left, see that one? Talk to them for that side. Look straight, repeat, right, repeat. Looking left, find them again, talk to the person next to them or just a few away. Straight, repeat, right, repeat. You're speaking because you're knowledgeable on the subject. Expect questions and not only questions, but ones you may not have an immediate answer for. It's up to you if you'll hand out a way to contact them with an answer after the speaking engagement. Recommend a throwaway email for said purposes. Pay zero attention to those who are "not into what your talking about." These people may be there specifically for the person next to them. Not everyone is there to see you. Good luck
Practice a bunch in front a mirror, then practice in front of family. At least, that's one thing I was advised with.
I used to do this weekly for a job I had; the best way to do is to learn your subject matter inside out and practice like crazy. The people you'll be speaking to are just people and you're simply talking to them. No different than sitting on a couch in someone's lounge telling a story to a crowd of people.
Propanolol will work well for sure but in the mean time, learn your shit inside out. Practice in front of the mirror, family or friends.
If it is a situation where someone can volunteer to go first, go first. Then you don't have to sit through all the other presentations while the dread continues to build.
https://www.toastmasters.org/ is your best bet, if you join (free) you can deliver content to them beforehand to get tips on how to improve. I encourage all of my employees to participate in the local branches we have up here in Quebec.
Even if they can't help you today, it's worth it to join and attend meetings monthly - you will be amazed how much you will pick up.
Repetition is the only way. Give a speech to one person, then two, then four…. Work your way up. No magic bullet other than blockers
