Florida is filled with Cubans and other invaders. Mexicans are a smaller part of their issues compared with states like CA, AZ, NM, and TX.
I lived in DC. I worked with 40 or so unionized illegal immigrant, mostly mexican, literally right next to the capital. It doesnt matter where they come from its just easy to call them Mexicans
