For "protection". Interesting how government agencies need to be protected using guns. Yet us deplorables don't need them. I assume they think collecting money will upset people enough to warrant having an armed collector. Of course the IRS doesn't require guns because they can simply garnish wages and attack bank accounts easily enough. They don't even need agents because they can simply mail a letter. In the rare event of a physical asset taking, they can easily hire mercenaries. I mean this whole thing stinks. Frankly, I think the IRS is actually creating a domestic army completely separated from collecting money at all. It's purpose is to circumvent using the military on citizens. But of course, this is just my imagination going wild.
