The smell of death (when someone is about to die).
While I have been assured that if I had forced my friend to a hospital 6 hours sooner than he got there, he still wouldn't have survived, I still carry thay weight on me wondering "what if" I had forced him to the hospital as soon as I told him he smelled like death.
What exactly does it smell like to you?
It has irs own smell unlike any other. A banana only smells like a banana and an orange only smells like an orange. One could say that they could be each be described as smelling like a fruit. The smell of death would be its own category.
Would you describe it as smelling more like a pear, or more like a peach?
It is a heavy gamey, musty, and metallic scent that hits you in the back of the throat if you breathe deeply. You can almost taste it. Fresh death obviously smells different than rot or dry old death.
