The content that is an extension of the media certainly is, and that's what most Internet users interface with. I enjoy a sport and like to keep abreast of what is happening throughout the season, but I find most of the 'news', even on the historically reputable sites, is 90% opinion and click bait that is designed to be inflammatory and drive a wedge between fans. And it works too! If the site has a comments section, it's mostly retardation personified, with the occasional thought out and intelligent response. But... That's the Internet for ya!
