You really have no concept of time. South Americans were eating their neighbors well into the 1600s and only stopped because White Europeans stopped them by conquering them. Europeans were creating Universities in 1100s and exploring the world in 1400s. All high level ideals and well past stone age eating your neighbor stuff that was still practiced by the savages in South America.
