Human nature tends to cause us to explain that which cannot be fathomed or understood by way of a higher power or entity. I.E. God (inc. spirits), extraterrestrials, and magic. To be an intelligent lifeform one must have questions. It seems the answer is yes, at least until such time that the nature of humanity evolves.
