This life is not the whole of existence, a conclusion of all that is wrong approaches--for we are all bound to physical death. But in eternity, we can be spared (John3:14-15)

John 6:44 - “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him”
No one can choose to believe. People are only drawn by God.
Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God
Man can only be saved through faith, and faith is not of your own doing, it is a gift from god, sent to you by the Holy Spirit
God chooses who will be saved by granting them the gift of belief, people cannot choose to be saved by choosing to believe
