Church is a place for like minded people to share in their faith. It's not a requirement for anything outside of social construct.

Sounds to me like bills need to be paid and the real question you should be asking is why does your wife feel the need to work on a Sunday instead of going to church? Maybe step it up so she doesn't have to make those choices?

It's a bit more complex than that. For one thing, our souls are already struck down, from birth. All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. We were all born in sin.
But at least you believe in a 'soul' and eternity and judgment.
And short of a book written by men and very poorly translated at that...what proof do you have for those statements?
I stated some of my belief, unless you can provide me more proof of higher power than I've experienced... You simply stated you bit of your own beliefs.
Now what a person does with their own free will is another story. If she wants to make or spend money on a Sunday power to her.
