A while back they either dug a new well or wanted to dig a new well onto their property. The county's been stalling them for a year and a half or more. One of the neighboring farms has been left barren because the county fucked them over to the point they gave up, and a tree farm not to far had to diminish their operations due to the county taking land to widen the road and expand some other stuff. Now words going around that the county is telling them they are losing their water rights because the new apartments and houses down a ways supposedly "need that water more than the farms do." It's downright criminal, but then again my county's a fucking joke regarding the law and morality in general.
