I got an old propane tank in looking to turn into a smoker but it still has residual propane in it, what's the best way to clean it? Or should I just scrap it and get a clean pipe?

So it's a tube now, and not an enclosed tank with small valve opening?

Correct. About 24 inch diameter, 6ft long.

I guess my concern is the seasoning when it's complete. Guess I'm thinking 20 steps ahead.
