So we took on a new girl at work. All guys, we're kinda a rough crowd. She's doing great, hard working, tomboy, horse girl. We're friendly, but we don't try to treat her any different.

One of the guys got her in. He wants to get with her. She's totally friend zoned him, don't know what he was thinking. They're mid 20s, I'm earlyish 30s. Don't want any drama, used to being alone, but feel like she's got a thing for me.

Know it wouldn't be a good idea to pursue, but... You know. Throw me feedback bros/gals

To put it in perspective. That Cobalt 60 source, when new in July of '63, emitted enough radiation to give you a 95% chance of death in 50 seconds. Drop and run indeed.

Today, after 60 years and about 11 half-lives, you would exceed the allowable annual dose limit for radiation workers in about 15 minutes. It would take you about a day (23.6 hr) to get that same 95% chance of death dose.

How many people died to engrave that?
