Every person I've seen doing that, has been a woman and an attention whore to boot. I'm a gym newbie but wouldn't deadlifts be better for hip hinge shit?

I don't think it's a bad exercise , but if you weigh 140 , have a small skeletal frame cuz woman , 225lbs + just seems like way more risk than reward. Even a guy in his 20s doesn't seem like a great idea to do on the reg

Always thought that doing hip thrusts was the realm of those wanting an arse like a sheboon (especially given that it's front and central of a lot of workout programs directed at women - often to the detriment of pretty much everything else).

I've noticed lots more guys doing it. It's to be expected I guess as it would help with various forms of grappling
