What's the deal with people doing hip thrust with 225+ lbs of weight across your hips ? Seem like that has injury producing written all over it.

I even see a few women doing it that are maybe 140lbs soaking wet.

225lb hip thrust

a lot

I hip thrust in the 300s and I'm 186 right now. So I'm not sure how you get from A to B. Oops no nm, the hip thrust machine bar doesn't weigh anything. So in the high 200s. e; Oh you mean Barbell hip thrusts, not machine? I suppose with lack of back support that does seem strenuous but while progressing from light weight your back muscles like the erector spinae would also get stronger.
