Also if you think Poal is better than Voat then why?(I personally think it's better than Voat in some ways.)

  1. Involved, responsive admin (willing to accept suggestions, funding, updates the canary)
  2. Strong stance against spam and shills
  3. Smaller community (& chance to own subs that were dead on Voat)

I don't know if I like poal as it is more an infant and less a defined site. seems to care about the site. I'm starting to think free speech is dead when you have dedicated groups that can fuck the system. What I didn't like about voat is that it became an echo chamber. I'm a hateful bigot myself but that place drove off any decent people.

  • Voat is an echo chamber.
  • I like rooting for underdogs.
  • People seem friendlier here? Dont know why...
  • Much less fat people hate porn here

Well I’m biased becuase I started it(I’ve had a lot of help since but I did buy the domain and vps) I like it better because the admins care and the users seem to care, this place exists because people cared about free speech, it seems like voat lost that somewhere along the way.

Keep in mind, I was on Voat more than 3 years before most of the big migrations. For me it started mostly with the long outage a couple months ago.

  • Atko saves the day, Putt MIA

  • When putt does come back, posts and comments are pretty negative. Feel bad for him and post long comment advising steps he can take for Voat. Crickets.

  • Started looking for backup site, realizing Voat was a sinking ship. Posted on Voat, getting lots of suggestions and discussion.

  • Find Poal, create account, start coming here every day.

  • Make a few posts / comments on Voat warning people it's days are numbered. Get a lot of hate.

  • Voat goes down again and again, realize how much of an anti jew/nigger site it has become. Realize Poal is like how Voat used to be.

  • Transferred my subverses on Voat, logged out. Do not log in anymore unless i see post on here that catches my eye.

That's my story. People over there talk about how salty we are and call me out by name, but I just don't GAF their drama. I would rather chill with some cool, woke folks.

Definitely poal is better for me. I hardly ever had a friendly or constructive conversation there. Its full of shills and subversive fags now and continues to go down. Poal even operates better. Smoother and seems way less buggy.

Oh yeah it's definitely less buggier than Voat.

Comments and score actually update on time. So fucking nice

Dislike of Voat didn't drive me here, I just want alternatives for when Voat disappears or finally gets taken over by the spammers. Voat's getting worse over time, so at some point I'm likely to give up on it like I did with Reddit, just not yet.

Very welcome! Glad you made it! Many did not. :(

Admins are active and communicate regularly.

People are less spergy here.

Far too much "jew this" and "nigger that" on Voat.

Better variety of content here on Poal.

I like seeing and being apart of the growth of a new community.

Same.

Not sure I'd say it's better, as a website. It's got a lot of stuff, mobile wise, I strongly dislike.

But the community is very solid. There's a lot more entertaining posts, rather than just a solid stream of depressing news. The mods actually seem to give a fuck. I worry long term about what the mods will do with certain things and I worry about a few Voat users moving here to set up shop. But overall, it's good. I am trying hard to use it as my main goto, although it seems to lack an active news crowd to update me when I get up in the morning

I like the homey feel of it compared to Voat. Not so much of an agenda, more just posting stuff that people seem to like personally.

Politics can get tiresome and it’s boring to see continuous knee-jerk reactions to typical news cycles.
