Because the majority of the creative community are self-seeking narcissists, the core of which is generally a self-loathing loser who has no actual talents or skills that contribute to society in the manner a plumber, carpenter, or welder does - the kind of work and kind of person they see as untouchable. And, like all narcissists, they demand their fifteen minutes of fame at the microphone, spewing the pseudo-intellectual bombast and chest-beating virtue signalling typical of their kind.

They are the vermin that gather when the smell of a rotting corpse begins to waft from a dead nation. Their words are the groaning of zombies in sleepless torment. Their thoughts are the wailings of those who know they are damned. Its supposed to be off-putting because its a warning to those who do not yet have God. A Godless nation produces these kinds of people.

Excellent description, the writing is really evocative.

Have you ever tried poetry?

I'm not sure how to answer that question without seeming to be the very same loathsome creature I have just described in my post. All I can say is I felt called to write, and I continue to do so despite how unrewarding and lonely a calling it is. As Lloyd Alexander once said, there are easier ways to starve to death than to be a writer.
