Reminds me of growing up, and my Father telling me that he would always love me, no matter what. Turns out not getting a shot got me cut off from Holiday invites, and my calls and text never got returned.

He has since rolled back him impotent stance, I suspect because the vaccines have proved more and more comical in their ineffectiveness, and the side-effects are becoming more difficult to ignore.

But he hasn't apologized. And in those months, I think he truly meant to cut me off forever, or maybe he thought I was weak enough to succumb to familial pressure.

Regardless, that was a tangent, and this post isn't about me, it is about you.

It sounds like your life sucks, and you can't do anything about it. Maybe you shouldn't try to fight it. Maybe you should try to change your attitude towards it?

Man, thanks for your reply. And I’m sorry for your troubles. Family can really suck sometimes. We’re getting the shit treatment by my MIL. I understand your woes. Stay strong and stay alive. If you need help with the eventualities, my wife is a trusts and estates attorney and I’m authorized to give bro deals. You’d qualify for such a deal. Just let me know.

On my end, ya things suck. Haven’t had sex with the wife in about 10 years or more and she just doesn’t fucking care. Sometimes she gives voice to the issue but doesn’t ever take action. The actions I have taken (everything from gentle to extreme) all get rebuffed and go down in flames. And that’s just one issue.

My daughter is disabled with no diagnosis and the eventuality of her life is hitting me like a runaway train. Wife just wants to ignore it and pretend all is well there. But one day she and I are gonna die and my son has absolutely no interest in helping his sister. Sure we can build in some financial incentives to his inheritance (assuming there will be anything left), but without love and interest things will go poorly.

And my son is interested in NOTHING but video games. And boy have we tried. Everything from putting him in other activities to cutting him off. And nothing sticks. I ask him about his interests and there’s just nothing. I’ve taken him shooting and to the archery range and to all manner of cool places and activities. Nothing. And absolutely nothing productive. He has no desire to build or make anything at all. At 15y/o he’s 6’3”, 220lbs, and a blue belt in karate. And he doesn’t even pursue that with any passion. But for our pushing the karate would have died a while ago.

I had a job with one of the largest tech companies in the world. Was paid a very good six figures (I’m in analytics and data). But the company sucked so I left it to pursue a better opportunity with a smaller company. Two months in the smaller company goes “Oh sorry we just got our quarterly report and things are bad we have to let you go.” Okay, a month later another company picked me up - a brand you’d actually recognize. Salary wasn’t great but it was a thing. Two days before I start I get this from the recruiter: “Ah jeez they’re retracting their offer because they’re recent sales numbers are down. They’re actually starting a hiring freeze and will be laying off 500 people.” Keep in mind is done all the paperwork and they were just about to send me a laptop. And another month later here I sit. Good thing wife works.

And that’s just for starters.

Left rehab for a sober house.

Went to a lunch AA meeting, full of mostly old-timers. Introduced myself. Cute girl came up to talk to me afterwards, told me there was a nice meeting up the street tonight, told me she would be there if I want to come. She's definitely hot, but also clearly a mulatto. Joined the local gym. Worked out. Bought some cheese at the grocery store. Got a sunburn.

It was a good day.

People have said I should do voice work before, which is weird, because growing up I had a speech impediment that made me talk like a retarded faggot. I got over it though, now I only act like a retarded faggot.

Well baby steps towards 'enlightenment' . I think voice over work would be cool or be the reader for an audiobook.
