If the subs were alphabetical scrolling would be a viable option.

The browser updates all the time. It's an android app, so updates happen all too often.

Chances are something in the browser code changed.

I use brave browser (chrome based). Just tested in Bromite (also chrome based) and the drop down works as expected.

I would switch, but I really like Brave (after you block their telemetry). And it took forever to get the chrome://flags to a more hardened state.
