Yuengling or Local
I would drink Yuengling if available too
It only became available for me recently. And they are brewing it here so it technically counts as local as well.
Brew my own.
Shiner Bock is the best beer ever. Period.
Beers local to my state. My favorite is called Salmon Fly.
IF you are in a larger state that has excess to different international beer, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier is by far the best beer I have ever had. I can't get it in my state, but I would invest in a kegerator just for this beer. I have tried a lot of beers, this one wins.
For worst beer ever, go for Korean Cass. It has ass in the name for a reason.
Lots of smaller local breweries in my area. If I’m buying from an out of state brewer it’s usually SNPA.
Cider or Shandy is my go-to if it's beer, but most of the time it's an old fashioned.
Shiner and Corona
New Belgian Brewery's Fat Tire, made 30 miles from here. But now they're doing a "New Coke" stunt by completely changing it.
"The brewery describes the reimagined amber ale as "easy drinking, with a medium body, crisp finish, and deep gold color" with a flavor profile of "subtle caramel and floral aromas and light bitterness."
"Longtime Fat Tire drinkers will clearly recognize the original Fat Tire flavor when tasting the new recipe," recipe developer and New Belgium Brewmaster Christian Holbrook said in a statement. "So far, many are telling us they prefer the crisper, brighter version and feel excited for the change."
Yeah, right. Grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.
Don't drink much beer these days, but usually go for Leffe or Warsteiner when the mood kicks. My favorite beer was a one-off Terrapin seasonal that will never come back (Mosaic, Red IPA; very piney). Terrapin is local to me, but think most of their products taste like ass. Landshark and Sol for easy light drinks.
Used to really like Bud Light Platinum for the ease of slamming a 6%, but that ship has sailed.
If I drink, it's probably going to be Bourbon or Scotch. My staples are Maker's Mark or Aberfelde for cheaps, Blade and Bow or Glenfiddich 15 for upper-mid. I'm an uncultured swine who doesn't buy the uber expensive stuff.
If I want dirt cheap, yet clean: Pinnacle vodka.
Seems everything I drank was owned by transweiser even the whiskey I drink was owned by them. So I'll just give the fuck up until I figure out what's not gay and sit sober and that's that.
The New York Post today said the company lost like 8 billion dollars and the VP who was the problem behind it all has the hook nose and mini habsburg, go figure. They really are behind it all, it's unfucking believable.
