So I have a half brisket that my parents attempted to cook and pretty much messed it up. Too hot, and not enough time, so it got smoked decently, but isn't tender at all. I should also mention it has been frozen solid now too.

Can I wrap it and oven on low for a while to salvage it? Any other suggestions besides dog treats?

EDIT: Think I may try some sort of adaptation of something like this:

After the pressure cooker you can shred it and make brisket sandwiches.

thats a good idea - pickles, onion, and a good sauce.. That may be the winner.

Or, cook it slowly a bit more til all well done, let cool, cuisinart it and add Mayo and relish and diced onion like a tuna salad. It’s a Sandwhich spread served in some parts, really good actually.

Crock pot. Old kind, made of clay, not metal. Put that baby on low, add some fat (tallow). Pressure cookers are good too. But I love my crock pot.

Try a pressure cooker.

I thought about that - like a corned beef style cook, but it'd be smoked brisket...

I didn't say it would be good.

LOL yeah, I'm trying to not just toss it, but I don't know what may happen with anything I try.

At this point don’t expect a masterpiece. But low and slow it in the oven to break down that collagen all the way and it will make good sandwiches or tacos.

Your wasting your time throw it out and buy another The fat has already rendered out and the tissue is set even if you get it to taste good you’re going to have to chew it for days
