I just started working out two months ago, One of my calluses got torn off while deadlifting only 175 pounds. Do any of you lift with gloves? Lifting without them is painful each time because my skin gets pinched and its kinda bothersome since i am not even lifting that much weight.

>They may have a better surface for increase friction on the bar, but that isn't grip.

That literally IS grip.

Anyway, we disagree on something, shocker.

Then you had to insult me because of it, shocker again.

I work hard and have lots of calluses, I started wearing gloves working out when I ripped a callus off my hand when the bar slipped. It really sucked.

I "insulted" you like I "Insult" by calling him a nigger. Calm down sally.

That literally IS grip.

No, that's friction. People often use them interchangeable but grip is applied force, friction is a force but it's not applied.

There are 2 types of force, contact and non contact. Frictional Force, Tension Force, and Applied Force are all Contact Forces. Friction is most certainly grip. Think tires on a race car, where do they get their grip? From Friction.

Anyway, I am guessing you are incapable of ever admitting to being wrong about something so I'll just leave it at that. Also I'm going to dinner, lol, so have a great night.
