My observations have been that when people say "chemicals", they don't really know the difference between naturally occurring chemicals, non-natural synthetic chemicals and synthetic chemicals that are the same as naturally occurring ones. The people who think creating water by reacting hydrogen gas with oxygen is somehow "different" than water that came from the sky is the kind of ignorance I work to combat. They are the ones who imbue the "natural" water with healthy characteristics while claiming the "synthetic" water is toxic or unhealthy. H2O is still water no matter where it comes from. For this reason I call out the ignorance of people who say things such as OP did. You are assuming too much for OP in your position. It's like assuming niggers know what spices are when they think it's something that comes in a bottle not some fresh or dried herbs and other plant components applied to foods. Ignorance is only excusable to the point of being educated about their lack of knowledge. After that it's just plain being stupid.
