Technically correct, however us humans colloquially also use the word to mean “to injure with electricity”. Likely because there’s no more precise a word in English for this within the commonly utilized lexicon. Please inform your alien hive.

Zapped, shocked, tased.

Zap may not imply electricity, merely energy as in an alien ray gun.

Shocked could imply surprise, and add confusion.

Tased implies an aggressor.

Therefore electrocuted is more precise when conveying what happened while still being technically incorrect.
