All very valid. I have farms in my family that I can flee to if shtf, my biggest holdup is finding a place that I will still be able to access high speed internet so I can continue to make a living before I am forced to live off the land. I have even approached utility companies and asked if I could pay them or find someone to run fiber optic lines underground for how ever many miles are needed and was told no. Some people have suggested that I start my own internet company and provide service to the neighboring farms, but that is beyond my current know how.

Starlink. Low latency, fast data. Works anywhere. I just got notice it’s available where I’m at and will order soon.

Some are saying the show begins end of this month, maybe next. Starting with the devaluation of the dollar. Also, sliver may go nuts this week, like by the weekend.

Depending how high those metals go, I may be able to use that to get some country land. What I'd really love is a huge greenhouse that is heated by geothermal heating, and even more ambitious, going down deep enough to boil water which can be used to spin a turbine and power a generator.

Do you have physical metals or paper contracts? Personally I would only hold physical right now, as the bond market, derivative market, debt market and metals markets are going to loop out, as the stratospheric house of cards meets gravity.

That’s damn deep. Ground sourced heating works well, some great vids online. As far as drilling to China for lava, I dunno… I live totally off grid on solar now, and it is mostly great. Occasionally we get 3-4 total poo days of rain and clouds, and the panels make nearly nothing and I have to generator a few hours. I hate the thing. I do have water year round here, so a long term project is pico hydro . I only need a couple hundred watts on 24-7 to take half my load which stretches the batteries into a week, and then it’s a matter of needing 4 solid hours to recharge. Just a shit ton of digging, clearing, plumbing and such to get it online.
