Don't wanna sit in a large room of hypocrites. I'm not a good person but trying to changing to how God wants me to live but it's hard sitting next to someone who might be worse then I claiming otherwise. I can love Jesus at home. What's the point of seeking fellowship when most folks today are bullshitters and I don't wanna wear gumboots

I don't mean to downplay the resurrection at all, because it is a miracle done only through God, but I think the jews are happy to distract us from focusing on the day that Jesus died for our salvation. The bunnies, the eggs, the name "Easter"- it all flies in the face of what these days really are. And people celebrate them without ever caring about the significance of those symbols. Christ's death is the point; we aren't saved through His resurrection, but His death. I celebrate "Resurrection Sunday", but I think Good Friday is more...central to God's message to those willing to hear.

I appreciate and value the stories in the bible because I've learned to look for the non literal meanings hidden within them. I think the problem I have is that "church" is a large room filled with people who take it literally and are convinced it's the only correct approach. Don't get me wrong, it's not that they're jealous or offended or something. I've literally seen it melt people's brains, they can't process it so they just lash out in some way.

It just makes it difficult to be around people like that.

I don't go to church anymore. The services are all meaningless 'worship'. No underlying message, just a concert with a whole lot of "Isn't God just the best?" in-between songs.
