It looks like this monitor is the most real estate for the money in the $200-300 range -

On Ebay for $240, amazon $290.

However people say if you have a monitor that large it should be IPS otherwise the far edges can start to fade? Also people are suggesting a curved monitor at that size? And that monitor has a fixed height stand.

Would you just go with that monitor or would you go down in size to get IPS / curved in the $200-300 budget? Thanks!

I picked up 3 32” LG high def monitors and it’s awesome. I’ve got over 6 feet of screen real estate in front of me and that’s with the outer two at 45 degrees. The monitors are so good Wife wanted one in her office. So I gave her one of mine and got another.

It’s a fantastic setup, and I do a lot of coding.

Do you remember how much you paid for each monitor individually? Thanks!

Ya. They're the LG 32UN550-W monitors. The last one I bought for my wife was $330 on Amazon and that was on 11/15/22.

I bought the original 3 monitors on 8/31/21 and I think they were a little less. Maybe $319 or something.

Anyway, while a little pricier by today's standards, they're cheap cause I'm old and grew up using all those really shitty monitors. So $1,000 for 6 feet of 11,520x2160 pixels (each monitor is 3840x2160) was just fine with me.

And so far these monitors are great. They're not gaming-spec or anything, but I don't play a ton of games. But they're really sharp and give me more than plenty of space for coding projects and the like. I'd love to eventually add another row for a total of 6 monitors but I think I'd need to rebuild my desk to accommodate monitors lower than the current surface.

Anyway, I like them and expect to have them going for some time.

Damn! I just got the same one! Thank You!

I was about to get a 34" but then I thought about the aspect ratio and was like wait a second I want height. 32" monitors are 16:9 but 34" are 21:9. 32" inch monitors are actually taller. And the one you got was the best by far for the resolution! Thank you!
