There is a market for it. They pay ridiculous prices for things in prison, low end would be something like 3x the normal price outside. On the high end thay could be 10x or more. With those kind of margins, they make enough money to bribe the prison guards. That is probably not too hard to do considering prison guards are paid fuck all.
