I don't know how any of that works but I do know people will pay out the nose for the illusion of security, and that's what genetic modification is, the illusion that your offspring will survive longer and easier. I actually do know a little how all this works and my guess is government will mandate all genetic illness be removed and the definition of genetic illness will slowly expand over time to include things like low intelligence. Shortness and so on until we destroy ourselves with lack of genetic diversity.
