Recently as in the past 5 years? That started a couple years after the Trump presidency, when people noticed fakeservatives trying to latch on. Since then the fakeservatives and glowniggers have adopted the term as well, so it's become quite common.
When you're as old as I am, five years ago counts as recently.

there's just a lot of obvious internet grifters these days so the term is being thrown around. can count styx, crowder, tim pool, etc... in with that category but the worst are the Q tarded grifters that should be painfully executed like x22.
I've mostly seen it of late in reference to Biden, but yea it's a buzzword atm

It is a few weeks old, not years or months. I have noticed it too.
It's been in use for years. I can definitely remember it's use in Groyper Wars, which was checks internet October 2019. And that was about the time fakeservatives started adopting the term.
I dont know what a groyper is. Maybe it was common in nich communities.
