I have a new gas stove being delivered tomorrow. Is there anything I need to do to break it in aside from turning my hood on high and cranking the oven past 400 degrees for an hour or two?

Most of the internet seems to have tard level advice like "remove the zip ties before turning it on".

You say stove and oven which I assume means range top. Adjust the low to a notch above the lowest gas setting where the burners (all ports) stay lit. Normally these come set too high to avoid liability. But it means low isn't really low without this adjustment.

Normally you take the knob off each burner and there is a small screw to turn inside the knob's "stem" which adjusts flow.

This just solved a two year dilemma of low not really being low. Thank you kindly.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check that first thing.

Open the valves full blast to purge the air out. Leave it go for about 4hrs then try to ignite it

In the retarded world we live in, someone will do this then sue every else for their own stupidity.

Put your dick in it.

Just make sure it has a mask and is fully vaccinated so it doesn't contract or spread coronaronadingdong. If not your warranty will be invalidated by Dr Fraudzi as he sits on his million dollar mansions terrace giggling.

Gas is the only way.

Coal, gasoline, propane, oil forever.

Fuck Wakanda.

Call me old fashioned but I like wood fired.

Don’t forget to season it.

Funny, I'm getting a new gas range tomorrow also! Went for the most basic model with no frills. Avana

You actually want to leave all the plastic packing attached and let it catch on fire to properly dispose of it in a safe and effective manner.

The dioxin from the combustion acts as a purification agent.

If you are the one installing it, make sure you bleed the lines, otherwise you’ll think it isn’t working. Bleed the lines before lighting the pilot.

Wipe down the entire interior of the oven (racks included) with vegetable oil and let it burn at the highest heat setting for 30 minutes. That what was recommended for my smoker at least.

You dont have to do anything. It just works as long as you pay your gas bill.
