On monday I got a an offer for credit card from PENFED credit union for visa signature card.

Today from fnbo..First national bank of omaha for the evergreen visa signature card.

These are banks Ive never heard of before and neither are near me, but both are visa signature. Funny to me that banks closing and others pushing credit at 24-28% interest rate. Just askiñg

It's probably more a function of it being the end of the quarter than bank stress. They want to hit their credit card goal for the quarter, so there is a marketing blitz to get people signed up.

Citi has a $500 bonus if you put $30k in one of their checking accounts for 60 days. Pretty tempting.

I got a credit card offer from my bank last night. It's got 0% APR until June next year, and I'll get $300 for spending $500 on it. I was actually looking for this 0% APR, so I can buy a plane ticket with it.

Sounds good. I wonder, if the banks close...do you still make the payment? Banks get bailed out, not the people?

I don't know if anything crazy happens. I have some gold and silver if I need something solid.

I get 'em all the time, but I haven't noticed an uptick. It's because my credit score is phenomenal
