Just noticed I'm running low on cartridges for my typical 5 blade faggot cartridge razor and when I went to order in a new supply - fucking kikes increased the price again.

Now I want to buy a straight razor purely out of spite so they never again get a cent out of me.

I used to shave with a safety razor few years back until I left it in a hotel since I used to travel a lot for work. Of course it was never handed in to lost and found. This time I don't even want to pay (((them))) for razor blades.

Anyway, share your experience, pro/cons, what to look out for when buying one?

indirectly related.

i use Harry's (never use gillette again and I believe Harrys is not related, but who fucking knows) and i go through about 4-5 blades a year. when it starts getting dull or just every couple of shaves I run it against a pair of denim with an upstroke (so as not to cut but to "wipe" the backside of the blade). it keeps the blades in decent shape for longer. You can get a 10 count on Amazon for $21. So i spend about $10-12 a year on blades.

I shave in the shower with an anti-fog mirror, and instead of buying shaving cream all the time I get my face nice and hot and I use soap, shampoo or even conditioner (gets stuck in the blades a bit more). it literally works exactly the same for me. also, i go with the grain on the neck to avoid irritation.

I shave regularly too. I don't have a baby face who shaves twice a month.

One of the reasons I'm looking into straight razors. I have a thick beard too, and prefer to shave every other day, but at the end of the second day I already look scruffy. Straight razor are supposed to give you the closest shave possible.

that’s a myth. The modern five blade razors will give you a much closer shave. While straight razors are cool and cost-effective, they don’t even come close to a five blade razor. I just use an electric razor without the guard. It doesn’t leave me baby smooth but it does the job without shaving cream or having to buy anything else

I'm not sure about that, safety razor gave me a much closer shave than 5 blade.

Tried a braun foil shaver, it gave me a lot of irritation afterwards.

Honesty I don't mind using the 5 razor cartridges, but where I am they keep raising the price and I don't want to use them anymore purely out of spite.
