Amen. I used to avoid them out of fear of my ISP shutting me down. Haven't had a problem since I started many years ago. I always disable uploading though (like a good leaching asshole), maybe that's what triggers their warning letters. Also don't torrent much, just the occasional (((movie))) to keep brainwashed.

The warnings are triggered by "the man" downloading them too. So now they have a list of IP addresses downloading a certain copywrited file. And then they send the email.

Certain parent companies are more aggressive than others. Most of mine have come from paramount. But being in Canada, the letter can be summed up thusly

"Some faggot, in another country, who ain't gonna do shit wants you to know he knows you are downloading"

I wonder how they get an email address. We never even used the one provided by the ISP.
