No, it's really a scam at this point. The only deals remaining are on alcohol.
Only ever brought smokes back in the day so don't know what the other products were like, but tobacco products were factory rejects for sure.
Filtered were too loosely rolled, burn in a fraction of the time. Tobacco pouches contained too many unusable rejects from the shredder.
Depends on how high the local taxes are. Like people have pointed out liquer is a big one because most places have extra taxes levied on it on top of sales tax. Cigarettes were a big one when they were more popular. Cigars and other tabacco too.
I don’t even know what that is and I don’t care enough to search it so if someone wants to explain it to me, feel free
kinda explains it they pretty common for airports the store operates out of Federal legislations because of being an international travel port. So all the stuff murica made terrible might be found there without all the terrible fine print garbish rules and regulations sprinkled in
Gotcha thanks. Now that you mention it I have seen them in airports.
The deal is ... I used to work for them. Yep, really. Worked at the world HQ in downtown San Francisco.
Lots of money in that company. Like, ridiculous amounts of money in that company.
Guess where all that money comes from? You guessed it (I know you did cause you're smart): customers' pockets.
Don't bother with Duty Free Shops. Like another person pointed out here: It's a huge scam.
Good to know my instincts were right.
