They logged the IP address and fingerprint of some French activist when compelled to do so by the Swiss authorities, despite their terms saying they would never do that. Then they changed their terms after the fact.
They also handed over account creation date information over to cops for accounts that threatened Fauci.
I remember something from the old voat time though. 2015-2017 timeframe that got people riled up on something they did.

I don know about VPNs in general, but I use TOR browser to login to Protonmail. That way Protonmail cannot associate me with my real IP address and they have nothing useful to hand over to Swiss authorities if they are compelled to do so.
When I decide to start streaming, I absolutely need ID protection.
