Does anyone remember that?

Does anyone remember that?

They logged the IP address and fingerprint of some French activist when compelled to do so by the Swiss authorities, despite their terms saying they would never do that. Then they changed their terms after the fact.

They also handed over account creation date information over to cops for accounts that threatened Fauci.

I remember something from the old voat time though. 2015-2017 timeframe that got people riled up on something they did.

Shit, the swiss gov thing was it.

> According to its transparency report, ProtonMail received 13 orders from Swiss authorities back in 2017 — but that had swelled to over three and a half thousand (3,572!) by 2020.

What tipped me off was them adding google recaptcha to their login.

a security forward company like pm understands what adding something like that means for their user data security.

I'm trying to find a VPN service that will best protect me from getting doxxed. Someone suggested Proton vpn and Hola vpn.

Someone recommended mullvad lately. Haven't tried it though

I don know about VPNs in general, but I use TOR browser to login to Protonmail. That way Protonmail cannot associate me with my real IP address and they have nothing useful to hand over to Swiss authorities if they are compelled to do so.

When I decide to start streaming, I absolutely need ID protection.

Thank you. I knew my favorite autists would remember the finer details.

I remember that their integrity was brought into question for bowing to some sort of warrant or gov coercion but I don't remember what the details were.

Are you positive about that?

Protonmail is run by US authorities, as shown in published court documents. I've seen them. Are they real? Who knows, but probably, because so are all the major email providers and all the VPN companies. They have all the money, and they won't let anyone have secrets. That's the bottom line.

Tuta nota

Is Tutanota any good? It's German, so I imagine they're way cucked and would shake like a trembling leaf in the breeze if anyone demanded information about one of their users.

In contrast, when cock.li consistently told the glowniggers to go suck on a fat one, bunch of ISPs all over the world blocked it overnight, and many big mail providers (gmail, ymail, etc) automatically pruned any incoming messages from it.

I recall one that was for some woke thing. I seen to remember they coughed up the info of someone for the crime of being "racist" or giving some demented faggot a sad or some shit like that.
