Right when you meet them?

After 5 minutes?

After they say or do something significant to you or your interests?

The day after / second time you meet them?

Never?

I don't ask, I forget anyway.

The number of people I meet who have names worth remembering deceases every day.

There are so many people deceasing lately, it hardly seems possible to learn their names!

In the Instant Search Age, your name, or anyone's name is privileged information. I don't ask and I don't share unless we plan to connect again. I've used this tactic when meeting women. I don't ask, and when she inevitably does, I tell her it's not important unless we're going to meet again. It has gotten me a couple relationships that otherwise may not have happened.

Immediately before I ask to speak with their manager.

Never and I don't care because I never say anyone's name.

After I've forgotten it

When and if I ever I decide that I even care...

I ask their name if I'll need to address them among other people. That's the purpose of a name, to differentiate between other people.

Depends how hot she is.

10 - 7, immediately.

5 - 6, only if if she can wear it.

1 - 4, her name would be a waste of memory space, unless she fits into the family category.

I really don't pay attention to names either. If I'm going to see them over and over again then I'll do my best to ask. But if it's just a good conversation I don't bring it up. I actually sometimes give a stage name because I'd rather them not know my real name at first.
