I have an eternal-september account, there are some amazingly active portions. Raspberry Pi, CP/M, Tandy, Nethack....

A lot of it has been overrun with spammers many years ago, but I still get useful stuff from a number of different areas.

I don't remember reading anything about hotmail being banned, I know they generally banned AT&T addresses because they won't accept email from their domain...

I know they're not as "good' as they used to be, but a protonmail account is easy, requires no information unless you choose to provide it, and they'll accept that.
